My artwork Fragile Fragments was selected to be part of the International Art Textile Biennale. It will be on travelling around Australia to various galleries till July 2024.

It is currently at Moonah Arts Centre, Hobart Tasmania from8th December 2023 to 20th January 2024

I am able to offer workshops in various techniques and media including transfer printing and machine embroidery using the my unique long-stitch technique.

Travel to Yoko Sekita's rich interior world. Interviewed by Naomi Ichikawa, Sekita showcases complex imagined and autobiographical scenes. Images from Japanese culture, Sekita's travels, and children's literature are hidden in the details of her work. Thrilled to be one of the panelists interviewed by Martha Sielman alongside Kathryn Harmer Fox, (South Africa) and Angela Knapp from the UK. All three artists are featured in Martha's book "Stitched Journeys with Birds".

My artwork Fragile Fragments was selected to be part of the International Art Textile Biennale. It will be on display at the East Gippsland Art Gallery from January to March, and will travel throughout Australia till July2024.

I'm thrilled to be a finalist in the Lake Art Prize, 2022 at MAC yapang, Lake Macquarie, my own, local regional gallery.

The theme of water, resonates with me and this year's theme was The Vessel - contained within and moving between.

The exhibition will run from September 23rd to December 11th 2022.

My entry in the Lake Art Prize is

Papiio Evanidis.

The body vessel of the "Papilio Evanidus" (Disappearing Butterfly) is a test tube containing the ‘enzyme soup’ which dissolves the caterpillar as it metamorphoses inside the chrysalis.

The dependence of the butterfly on its habitat has been conceived as a river flowing through the body of the butterfly and into the landscape which is traced out in contour lines. The liquid flows from the body of the insect, as the black liquid continues to give them form and spread out. The wings need the liquid to strengthen, and as it flows through them, the contour line map patterns that are etched into its wings, merge with the landscape, upon which it depends. They are co-dependent.

The test tube chrysalis questions the incredible 'science experiment' civilisation is engaging with as global warming accelerates. The disappearing richness of our physical world is seen in the transparency of this landscape.

My work was recently selected to be part of the 5th Birds of a Fiber exhibition being held at the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum in La Conner, Washington. US.

The exhibition will take place from January 26th through to February 27th 2022.

3-d printed moulds were created and used in conjunction with transparent leather to create ammonite form. This piece was created for the Shell exhibition in 2018.
